Improve competitiveness index

Regarding the work of improving the Competitiveness Index (PCI) and Public Administration and Management Performance Index (PAPI), Mr. Lam Van Man said: In recent times, the province has always focused on improving effectiveness and efficiency. effective management and operation of the administrative apparatus at all levels, enhancing transparency and accountability, contributing to improving the quality of service to the people, improving the business investment environment, and helping businesses operate. production and business effectively, promoting potential in the process of recovery and sustainable development.

According to the results of the announcement of the Provincial Governance and Public Administration Performance Index in Vietnam (PAPI) in 2023, Soc Trang province ranks 4th in the country and tops the Mekong Delta region, up 20 places compared to 2022.

Mr. Lam Van Man said that, thanks to the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council and Provincial People’s Committee, Soc Trang’s PAPI Index achieved outstanding scores, in the top 4 in the country with the highest scores. Specifically, the 2023 PAPI Index of Soc Trang province reaches a total of 45.6196 points (42.8559 points in 2022), ranking 4/63 provinces and cities; increased 20 places compared to 2022 (2022, ranked 24th).
