On the morning of April 25, in Dong Hoi city, Quang Binh province hosted the 2024 National Traditional Boat Racing Championship. This is a major event in a series of activities to celebrate the 420th anniversary of the province’s formation. Quang Binh (1604 – 2024), 75 years since Quang Binh’s rise (July 15, 1949 – July 15, 2024).
The tournament brings together 10 participating provinces with 36 boat teams, nearly 400 male and female athletes competing at distances of 200m, 500m and 1000m with men’s, women’s and mixed men’s – women’s competitions (boat of 10 people). , boat of 20 people) according to national sailing standards. The starting point is from Dong Hoi market towards the upstream and finishing point at the Mother Suot monument area.
The racing boats used are boats made of composite materials according to international standards and international laws.
