The province has 5 industrial parks (My Thuan, Rang Dong, My Trung, Hoa Xa, Bao Minh); 12 active industrial clusters; 124 industrial and handicraft villages; including 9 craft villages producing flammable and explosive items.
In 5 years (from 2019 to 2023), there were 80 fires and explosions in the province, killing 2 people, injuring 5 people, and causing property damage of about 9.5 billion VND and 0.5 hectares of forest.
Through proactive registration of the People’s Committee of Nam Dinh province, in early 2024, the Ministry of Public Security selected this province to direct the implementation of the “Fire safety province” model.
