At the regular press conference of the Ministry of State on April 25, responding to a request to comment on the human rights report just released by the US State Department on April 22, which included content mentioning Vietnam, Vietnamese people. Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Pham Thu Hang stated:

“The US State Department’s annual human rights report on April 22, although it reflected Vietnam’s achievements and progress in protecting human rights, unfortunately continued to make some comments. not objective, based on inaccurate information about the actual situation in Vietnam.”

Ms. Hang emphasized that Vietnam’s consistent policy is to protect and promote human rights, which considers people as the center and driving force of the innovation process and national development.

“Fundamental human rights and freedoms are recognized in the Vietnamese Constitution, protected and promoted by specific legal documents and implemented in practice,” a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated. .
