Quang Ninh province authorities have found the bodies of two victims out of four women missing on the Chanh River due to a boat capsizing.
On the afternoon of April 25, the authorities of Quang Yen town (Quang Ninh province) said that after many hours of efforts to deploy search plans, at about 3:00 p.m., the second victim in the boat sinking accident on the river Lemon has been found.
Before that, around 12:30, the authorities found the first victim. The authorities urgently brought the victim’s body to Quang Yen Town Medical Center for relatives to identify and take care of the funeral.
Before that, at about 5 a.m. the same day, the bamboo boat of Ms. Nguyen Thi T. (born 1979, residing in Ha An ward, Quang Yen town) carried 6 women to work. The boat moves from Phong Hai wharf to Ha An wharf across Chanh River. When arriving in area 12, Ha An ward, there was a storm and the boat capsized, leaving 4 people missing. The vehicle owner and another person swam to shore and were safely rescued.
The four missing people include: Nguyen Thi H. (born 1982), Nguyen Thi M. (born 1983), Nguyen Thi N. (born 1979, residing in Dinh 1 village, Lien Vi commune, Quang Yen town) and Duong Thi C. (born 1966, residing in Cam Lien village, Cam La commune, Quang Yen town).
To search for missing people, Quang Ninh province and local authorities mobilized more than 250 people from the forces of the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Border Guard Command, the Quang Ninh Provincial Police, and the Provincial Police Department. Military commander, Police and functional forces of Quang Yen town, Ha An Ward People’s Committee… along with 12 specialized ships, boats and dozens of people’s vehicles.
Due to rising tides, the search for missing victims is facing many difficulties. Authorities continue to mobilize all human resources and vehicles to try to find the remaining victims.
