The water reservoir in village 10 (Dak O commune) has reached the bottom and can only provide irrigation for a few households in the surrounding area.
There are families who don’t have water for bathing for several days
In the heat of the last days of April 2024, Ms. Tran Thi Lan, head of village 10, said: “Many households are seriously lacking water for domestic use and irrigation. Both drilled wells and dug wells have run out of water. Currently, only There are still a few houses that have water and share it with surrounding households to use. Many times, there are families who don’t have water to bathe in for several days, which is extremely difficult.”
Having to buy drilled well water for 60,000 VND/m3, Ms. Thi Danh proactively uses water economically.
In village 10 (Dak O commune), most households are ethnic minorities. Unstable work, unstable income. There are upland gardens, but they also suffer from drought because there is no water for irrigation, and water for daily use must be bought. Life is already difficult, but now it is even more difficult.
Ms. Thi Danh shared: “We don’t have water to use here, it’s very difficult. Buying a block of water costs 60,000 VND, but we have no money.”

Mr. Dieu Xroi (white shirt) uses it very sparingly, but 1 cubic meter of water can only be used for 2 days.
The family has 8 members but only 2 main workers are freelancers, the income is only from 150,000 – 200,000 VND/day, when employed. Without running water, Mr. Dieu Xroi was forced to buy from a neighbor with a drilled well for 60,000 VND/m2.3 But I can only use it for 2 to 3 days and then have to buy it again.
“People here lack a lot of water. Like my family, I buy water from others for 60,000/tub. And the trees are all dry, there is no water anymore, and we can’t even scoop it from ponds or streams. Now we want the government to take care of it.” heart to help people,” Mr. Dieu Xroi shared.

Meanwhile, the lack of domestic water in Bu Gia Map commune (Bu Gia Map district) has also occurred for nearly 2 months. Bu Ren village’s water reservoir is also almost bare bottom.
From March until now, the Commune People’s Committee has coordinated with Economic – Defense Group 778 (Military Region 7), Border Guard Station and Bu Gia Map National Park to bring water tanks and transport them to people’s homes for free. use.

Faced with the water shortage situation of the people, the People’s Committee of Bu Gia Map District has deployed drilling of 3 water wells, 1 in Dak O commune and 2 in Bu Gia Map commune. The drilled well is automatically pumped into a 5 m tank3 and is connected to valves so that people can conveniently get water whenever they need it.
People are happy to have a free source of hygienic water from industrial wells for daily use
