Nghe An’s budget revenue in the first 4 months of the year is estimated at more than 7.7 trillion VND

In the first 4 months of 2024, Nghe An province’s budget revenue is estimated to reach more than 7,711 billion VND, reaching 48.5% of the estimate assigned by the Provincial People’s Council; Total revenue from tourists reached 8,714 billion VND.

On the afternoon of April 25, under the chairmanship of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Trung, the Provincial People’s Committee held a regular meeting in April 2024 to listen and give opinions on important contents.

Attending the meeting were comrades: Le Hong Vinh – Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Bui Dinh Long – Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Nguyen Van De – Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; leaders of departments, divisions and branches.

At the meeting, the Provincial People’s Committee listened and gave comments on the report on the implementation of the socio-economic development plan; Implementation of state budget financial tasks in April, key tasks and solutions in May 2024.

The report and opinions agreed that in April, the agricultural production situation was stable and quite comprehensive. The whole province has 317/411 communes meeting new rural standards, 67 advanced new rural communes, 10 model new rural communes, and 9 districts meeting new rural standards.

The industrial production index is estimated to increase by 11.23%; 4 months is estimated to increase by 8.58%. By April 20, the province’s centralized public investment capital managed by the province had disbursed 849.933 billion VND, reaching 18.36%, 11.35% higher than the same period. Key projects are focused on and directed to speed up progress.

Starting from April, the number of tourists coming to Nghe An increased rapidly. It is estimated that in April, the number of tourists will reach 1.05 million. Accumulated in 4 months, the number of tourists is estimated to reach 3.13 million, an increase of 12% over the same period in 2023. Total revenue from tourists reaches 8,714 billion VND, of which tourism revenue is estimated at 3,348 billion VND, an increase of 42% over the same period in 2023.

International cooperation and integration activities continue to be implemented effectively. As of April 23, the province has granted 4 new projects and adjusted 7 projects with a total registered capital of more than 228 billion VND.

From the beginning of the year until now, the whole province has granted 23 new projects, adjusting the total investment capital of 16 projects. The total newly granted and adjusted capital is more than 15,043 billion VND, the total newly granted investment capital is 1.27 times higher than the same period.

State budget revenue in 4 months is estimated to be 7,711.9 billion VND, reaching 48.5% of the estimate assigned by the Provincial People’s Council, equal to 128.9% of the same period in 2023. Of which, domestic revenue is estimated to be 7,223.5 billion VND copper; Revenue from export and import activities is estimated at 483.3 billion VND.

The socio-cultural field continues to receive attention and social security policies are fully implemented. Key tasks are being implemented on schedule. The draft Resolution on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Nghe An province will be submitted to the National Assembly for consideration and approval at the 7th Session in May 2024.

Administrative reform and strengthening discipline continue to be promoted. Nghe An’s administrative reform index (Par Index) ranked 15/63 provinces and cities, leading the North Central region; increased by 1 level compared to 2022.

Regarding the Index of people’s satisfaction with the services of state administrative agencies (SIPAS), Nghe An ranked 12/63 provinces and cities; ranked 2nd in the North Central region; increased by 2 levels compared to 2022.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van De proposed to speed up the progress of harvesting the summer-autumn crop; Focus on implementing key projects such as Ban Mong reservoir project, Khe Lai – Vuc Mau project, high-tech forestry park project…

In addition, relevant sectors coordinate with localities to guide fishermen in recording entry and exit logbooks; Quickly deploy land price appraisal; Advise on handling backlogged projects; accelerate the implementation of the project to arrange commune-level administrative units for the period 2023-2025; interested in electricity for production…
