(PLVN) – Tran Van Thao confessed that he hired 02 subjects, Nguyen Van Duc and Do Van Luan, to transport 05 foreigners to illegally enter Vietnam on December 16, 2023.
On April 25, information from the Bac Kan Provincial Police and the Security Investigation Agency (PA09) of the unit served the decision to prosecute the defendant and execute an arrest warrant to temporarily detain Tran Van Thao. (born 1990, residing in Ky Phu commune, Dai Tu district, Thai Nguyen province) for the crime of “Organizing illegal entry for others”.
Previously, at 6:30 p.m., December 16, 2023, Ngan Son district police (Bac Kan province) conducted a control patrol at Km167+100 National Highway 3, in Van Tung town, Ngan Son district. Discovering that a car with license plate number 20A-666.95 driving in the direction of Bac Kan – Cao Bang appeared suspicious, the vehicle was ordered to stop for inspection.
Through inspection, the driver was Nguyen Van Duc (born 1976, residing in Bach Quang ward, Song Cong city, Thai Nguyen province), the car was carrying Do Van Luan (born 2000, residing in Phuoc Thai commune, Ninh district). Phuoc, Ninh Thuan province) and 05 foreigners who could not present entry documents into Vietnam according to regulations.
The investigation results clarified that the subjects Nguyen Van Duc and Do Van Luan committed the act of using a car to transport Chinese people entering Vietnam illegally.
Through the investigation, two subjects admitted that Tran Van Thao hired them to transport passengers. After Duc and Luan were arrested, Tran Van Thao fled the area.
The investigation agency made a decision to search, and on April 18, 2024, the investigation agency mobilized relatives to bring subject Tran Van Thao to the investigation agency to present.
Before the Investigation Agency, Tran Van Thao confessed that he hired 02 subjects, Nguyen Van Duc and Do Van Luan, to transport 05 foreigners to illegally enter Vietnam on December 16, 2023.
The case is continuing to be investigated and clarified.
