(ABO) On April 24, the Board of Directors of Tien Giang Provincial Police held a meeting to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Provincial Police Women’s Association (April 24, 1994 – April 24, 2024).

Attending the meeting were Major General Ngo Hoai Thu, Deputy Director of the Department of Party and Political Work, Head of the Women’s Department of the People’s Public Security (CAND); Standing Vice President of the Women’s Union of Tien Giang province Dang Thi Ngoc Diep; Colonel Nguyen Hong Khac, Provincial Party Committee member, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Director of Provincial Police; Colonel Phan Van Trang, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police.

The Women’s Organization in Tien Giang Provincial Police has existed since 1980. At that time, it was the Provincial Police Women’s Branch. After two terms of operation, in 1991, the Association was dissolved according to the policy of the Ministry of Public Security.

On April 24, 1994, the Provincial Police Party Committee issued a Decision to establish the Tien Giang Provincial Police Women’s Association in the spirit of seriously implementing Joint Regulation No. 52/QD-LT dated April 24, 1994 of Vietnam Women’s Union and General Department of Force Construction – People’s Public Security on the organizational system and activities of women’s organizations in the People’s Public Security.

Since then, after 30 years of operation, the Police Women’s Association of Tien Giang province has been constantly consolidated, growing stronger and stronger, making important contributions, affirming the necessity of the Women’s Union organization. female in public security.

After 30 years, 6 Congresses, the Provincial Police Women’s Union has grown stronger and stronger, with 31 affiliated Women’s Unions; Standing Association with a new model, called the Provincial Police Women’s Committee; Female officers and soldiers of the Provincial Police have 13 master’s degrees, more than 60% of members have university degrees. The Police Women’s Union operates effectively and regularly from the provincial level to the grassroots level with many models, projects, and tasks to improve the efficiency of professional work and solve difficult and weak problems.

On the occasion of the meeting, the Provincial Police Board of Directors awarded medals from the Central Vietnam Women’s Union to 3 individuals; commended 4 individuals who won the 2023 Outstanding Tien Giang Police Women award and awarded the “March Imprint” writing contest.

The “March Imprint” contest was launched in December 2023 and ended in March 2024, with enthusiastic and positive responses from officials, members and officers and soldiers of the Provincial Police. As a result, 40 entries passed the preliminary round. Through the final judging, the Organizing Committee decided to award 1 First prize, 2 Second prizes, 3 Third prizes, 5 consolation prizes and 2 online voting prizes to the most popular works.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee of the “Charming and Talented Police Women” Contest organized the judging of the final round. 12 contestants were selected from preliminary rounds in competition clusters to participate in evening gown, ao dai and talent competitions.

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 First prize, 2 Second prizes, 3 Third prizes and 6 thematic prizes to candidates who are officers and members from the Grassroots Police Women’s Union of units and localities.
