(Quang Ngai Newspaper) – The electricity industry is implementing power projects to provide safe, stable electricity to serve economic development and people’s lives. However, currently these projects are behind schedule, due to problems in site clearance and land acquisition for construction purposes.

According to the first approved schedule, the My Khe 110kV Transformer Station (TBA) project and the connection through Son Tinh district and Quang Ngai city must be completed before December 31, 2022. However, due to lack of space to carry out construction, the electricity industry had to extend the project 3 times. In particular, the third extension sets the goal of completing energizing the project before June 30, 2024. However, up to now, the project has only completed construction of the 110kV substation, completed foundation casting, erected columns in 25/30 positions, and completed wire pulling of 2.64km/8.424km. The remaining 5/30 columns and 5,784km of lines cannot be constructed due to lack of land.

The 110kV transformer station of the My Khe 110kV Substation (TBA) project has not been completed due to land problems.

The main reason is that many plots of land are affected by the project, people have been farming stably since 1997 until now. Even though there are no legal land documents, this land does not belong to the commune’s public land fund. Currently, the People’s Committee of Quang Ngai City is completing documents and reporting to the Provincial People’s Committee to consider compensation and support for land and crops for households. In addition, for some land plots, the People’s Committee of Quang Ngai City has not approved the compensation plan, because the work of confirming the land origin, approving the area, land type, and land user has not been completed.

In 2024, this project will no longer be included in the list of phase 1 land recovery projects, because it has been included in the land use plan for more than 3 years but land recovery has not been completed. This makes it difficult to continue implementing the project in the future if the province does not add it to the list of land recovery projects. Currently, the electricity industry is coordinating with localities to resolve problems and problems of the project.

The project to renovate and increase the cross-section of the 110kV Binh Nguyen – Quang Ngai line of the electricity industry is also facing problems with site clearance. This is a project with a small area of land to be recovered, because it only renovates the existing line, only reclaims land for expanded pier foundation locations… The project does not create lines and does not affect public transport. lang. The total number of households whose land was recovered to implement the project is 73 households/119 plots, of which Quang Ngai City has 26 households/32 plots (22 locations); Son Tinh district has 17 households/34 plots (21 positions); Binh Son district has 30 households/53 surpluses (22 positions). Currently, the agencies performing the task of site clearance in the three above-mentioned localities have not considered signing contracts with the electricity industry to recover land for construction purposes.

In addition to the two projects mentioned above, the power industry is currently focusing on accelerating the progress of the project to increase the cross-section of the 110kV line of 220kV Quang Ngai – Nui But substation; Tu Nghia 110kV Substation capacity upgrade project; Nghia Ha substation project and connection; Pho Minh substation project and connection. The goal of these projects is to improve the quality of safe and adequate electricity supply, serving the lives and production of people and businesses in the province. Recently, the Central Power Corporation has issued a written request to the Provincial People’s Committee to direct the removal of these problems, in order to speed up the construction progress and soon complete and put it into operation.
