On April 25, Dong Nai General Hospital was honored to announce the diamond certification in stroke treatment awarded by the World Stroke Organization. Currently, there are 5 hospitals nationwide that have achieved this diamond certification, including the provincial level Nghe An General Friendship Hospital and Dong Nai General Hospital.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Huy Thang, Vice President of the Vietnam Stroke Association, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Stroke Association awarded the diamond stroke certificate to Dong Nai General Hospital.
Previously, in June 2019, Dong Nai General Hospital was one of four hospitals to achieve gold standard certification awarded by the European Stroke Association. After only 1 year, in July 2020, Dong Nai General Hospital continued to be one of three hospitals across the country to receive platinum certification from the World Stroke Organization.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Huy Thang, Vice President of the Vietnam Stroke Association, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Stroke Association, said that diamond certification is the highest certification for stroke units and centers that achieve series of strict standards set by WSO. This shows that the quality of stroke treatment at Dong Nai General Hospital approaches the world’s stroke treatment standards.
On this occasion, Dong Nai General Hospital also organized a scientific seminar with the topic “Stroke management and emergency care in the hospital”.
