Dak Lak boxer, boxer Nguyen Hoang has just set a record, entering the history of the province’s sports as well as kick boxing by winning the throne for the 10th consecutive time in this subject.

If mentioning boxing, the martial arts community throughout the country immediately thinks of “The King of Vietnamese Boxing” Truong Dinh Hoang (also in Dak Lak), then in kick boxing, fans immediately mention boxer Nguyen Hoang.

The boxer from Krong Nang district is the one who “closed the book”, bringing home the last Gold Medal for Vietnamese sports at the 32nd SEA Games arena.

At the 2024 National Kick Boxing Strong Team Championship recently held in Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Nguyen Hoang successfully defended the championship after defeating boxer Thai Ba Hung of Nghe An in the final match. in the 67 kg weight class to reach the top podium for the 10th time to receive a medal.

Nguyen Hoang was born into a family where no one followed a sports career, but his love of martial arts, combined with his natural talents and qualities, brought him to martial arts.

Initially, Nguyen Hoang became acquainted with wushu, then traditional martial arts, then switched to kick boxing as a starting point, building a “brand”, succeeding, and shining in this highly antagonistic subject.

Considered the pride of Dak Lak sports, boxer Nguyen Hoang has been responsible for “hunting” for medals for the province’s high-performance sports in regional arenas over the past 10 years and has become a symbol. , a great example of professional spirit and attitude in training and competition; Willpower and determination to never give up the dream of participating in the SEA Games playground.

That’s why, even though he became an “invincible” boxer in the domestic arena, he did not catch the “eyes” of the coaches to be called up to the kick boxing team to compete in foreign countries. in regional arenas, Nguyen Hoang was not discouraged but continued to persevere in training, using it as motivation to strive, and then, the first time he played for the team, competing in the regional arena, Nguyen Hoang won the Gold Medal, bringing glory to his country and province.

“Instead of trying to create something big, start with the smallest and simplest changes you can make, then build a plan and start implementing it now. now”, Nguyen Hoang shares that is his life motto.

A champion’s daily routine always follows a certain schedule, encapsulated in “practice, practice and practice”. That is the secret that the boxer, despite turning 31 years old this year, still maintains a top form. Still not satisfied with himself, Nguyen Hoang said that he is currently focusing on conquering the even higher goal of the Asian Kick Boxing Championship to be held in Binh Dinh in July and receiving the Medal of Honor. Gold medal at the 2024 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games which will take place in Thailand later this year.

In addition to his professional sports career, Nguyen Hoang also opened a gym and an after-hours kick boxing club. There are quite a number of martial arts students coming to the SEA Games champion’s club to practice, exercise, and improve their physical strength.

Enthusiastic and fully responsible for his work, Nguyen Hoang always enthusiastically guides the basic techniques of kick boxing for martial arts students coming to his gym.

That is also a way for him to “fan” the fire of passion, contributing to the development and spread of the kick boxing practice movement in the province.

“Kick boxing is a potential sport, suitable for many ages. Hoang advises young people who are passionate about martial arts in general, and kick boxing in particular, to learn, get acquainted and practice. That is also a way to help Hoang have the opportunity to discover his talents, introduce them to the provincial kick boxing team, and seek glory for the locality,” Nguyen Hoang shared.
