A group of more than 30 young men carrying pig knives and glass bottles to fight accidentally slashed a young man walking on the street.
On April 25, Hai Chau District Police prosecuted Pham Dinh Truong (15 years old), Nguyen Dac Huy (25 years old), Le Nguyen Thao Vy (24 years old), Le Nguyen Tan Truong (20 years old), Nguyen Bao Chau (17 years old) and Phan Tuan Hai (17 years old) about their actions Deliberately inflicting injury and Disturbing public order.

Of the 6 defendants, Le Nguyen Thao Vy was released on bail because she was raising a young child, while the remaining 5 were arrested. Vy is the wife of defendant Nguyen Dac Huy.
According to the investigation, on January 15, Pham Dinh Truong invited some young men from the “Xom Ga” group to bring two 2m long pig spears and iron tweeds to look for the “Cu Minh” group in Son Tra district.
Truong’s group had 30-35 people, carrying each other on 15 motorbikes in groups at high speed, swerving, swinging, and running red lights. On the way, they also picked up glass bottles to use as weapons.
Because the “Cu Minh” group was not found, the “Xom Ga” group went around many roads in the city center to search. Arriving at Nguyen Hoang Street (Hai Chau District), this group saw about 10 people riding 5 motorbikes in the opposite direction, mistakenly thought they were the “Cu Minh” group, so they chased them.
Chasing to Ong Ich Khiem street (Hai Chau district), Truong’s group stopped the car of two young men, threw them with a glass bottle and used a weapon to slash them. This act caused one 18-year-old victim to suffer 22% injuries, the other person escaped.
