Dong Nai newspaper won first prize at the 2nd Southeast region press award – 2023

(DN) – On the morning of April 25, the Vietnam Journalists Association coordinated with the Dong Nai Journalists Association to organize the second Southeast region journalism awards ceremony – 2023.

Attending the ceremony were Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association in charge of the South Tran Trong Dung; Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council Hoang Thi Bich Hang; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Son Hung; Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Propaganda Department Pham Tan Linh and representatives of leaders of press, radio and television agencies from provinces and cities in the Southeast region.

According to the Organizing Committee, this is the second time the tournament has been held at the regional level with the aim of contributing to improving the quality and quantity of journalistic propaganda works, introducing the potential for economic, cultural and tourism development. , social security issues, new solutions for agricultural development as well as reflecting the lives of people in the Southeast region; At the same time, recognize, encourage and reward journalists with good quality works about the Southeast region.

After nearly a year of launching, the Organizing Committee received 300 entries from local press agencies with 4 types of press. The preliminary jury selected 112 excellent works to enter the final round. The final jury selected 22 winning works, including 2 First prizes, 4 Second prizes, 6 Third prizes and 10 Consolation prizes.

In particular, the first prize in the print – electronic newspaper category was awarded to the author group: Vuong Van The, Le Thi Quyen (Dong Nai Newspaper) with a series of 4 articles: “Southeast with the goal of green growth” .

The first prize in the radio and television category was awarded to the group of authors Nguyen Thanh Tuyen, Nguyen Thanh Long, Huynh My Van (Binh Duong Radio and Television Station) with the thematic radio work: “The book cannot be distorted.” of the General Secretary on the fight against negative corruption”.

According to the evaluation of the judges, the number of entries is greater than last year, the entries are of good quality, have good topics, are meaningful and touching. Along with serious and quality investment, the works have addressed major regional issues, regional connectivity issues, and in-depth analysis and analysis of social issues and phenomena.. Thereby, it has confirmed a new step forward for the press in the Southeast provinces.

At the award ceremony, Mr. Tran Trong Dung, Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association in charge of the South, launched the Southeast Journalism Award in 2025. At the same time, it is expected that the award will continue to attract a team of talented people. Journalists in the Southeast region actively participate, enhancing the award to become an attractive, prestigious and widespread brand, creating a useful playground not only for members and journalists. newspapers in the Southeast region but also journalists throughout the country.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Son Hung sent his thanks to the press agencies, journalists, and reporters who have devoted a lot of enthusiasm and intelligence to invest in creating journalistic works that reflect great achievements of the Southeast region, including Dong Nai.
