Talking to reporters, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong – Deputy Director of Cam Lam – Vinh Hao Expressway Project Management Board said that in recent days, construction units have been trying to complete the final stages of the expressway. This project will be completed promptly on the holidays of April 30 and May 1. Cam Lam – Vinh Hao Expressway is completed and opened to traffic, helping to smoothly connect the entire Nha Trang – City route. Ho Chi Minh City with a total length of nearly 400km, shortening travel time on the City route. Ho Chi Minh – Nha Trang takes more than 4 hours compared to about 8 hours traveling on National Highway 1. Cam Lam – Vinh Hao Expressway is designed with 4 lanes, speed of 90 km/h; The entire route has 3 intersections (Du Long, Phan Rang and Thuan Nam); 34 bridges include 22 bridges on highways and 11 overpasses and overpasses at intersections. Currently, these items have been completed and are ready for traffic. In addition, on the route there is a 2.25 km long Vung mountain tunnel, including two tunnels with 3 lanes each, tunnel width of 14 meters.
Cam Lam – Vinh Hao Expressway project is invested by Deo Ca Group – 194 Construction Investment Corporation Joint Stock Company. This is one of three North-South expressway projects phase 1 implemented by public-private partnership (PPP) method, with a length of 78.5km, passing through 3 provinces of Khanh Hoa (nearly 5km), Ninh Thuan (63km) and Binh Thuan (nearly 12km). Construction started on September 30, 2021. According to the plan, bridge and road projects will be completed within 24 months from the date of commencement, and the Nui Vung tunnel project (in Ninh Thuan province) will have a completion time of 30 months. Total investment for the project is about 8,000 billion VND.
