According to the case file, since 2019, Vo Van Trung took advantage of his position as Deputy Director and Director of Long Xuyen City Land Fund Development Center to create false documents to illegally grant 5 plots of residential land owned by the center. Management for 5 households.

After obtaining the land use right certificate, Trung sold 2 plots of land for more than 7 billion VND.

On August 1, 2022, Mr. Trung was found dead at his home due to suicide.
