According to the latest information from the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, as of April 23, parents American International School paid 31.08 billion VND. This amount is only 1/4 of the required amount to operate at the end of the school year, which is 125 billion VND. Previously, the American International School sent a letter to parents, informing them that a large number of foreign teachers had announced their resignation from early May 2024 or earlier. During the last two weeks of April, the school still had to continuously plan to arrange substitute teaching schedules for teachers who were absent each day.

Additionally, the majority of teachers have expressed that they do not agree to continue working without full pay. Selected teachers will be working through April 26 for the benefit of students, and ensuring that they are able to finish the school year. After this date, the school will not have enough teachers to operate.
