Super hybrid SUV Lamborghini Urus SE launched if it comes to Vietnam, the price is not less than 20 billion

Information about the carefully camouflaged Lamborghini Urus but fined by the traffic police is not yet “hot”, recently, Lamborghini officially launched the super SUV Urus SE globally right at the Auto China Beijing 2024 exhibition.

The fact that the Lamborghini Urus uses a hybrid electric engine system to launch globally is not too surprising because before that, Lamborghini has “teased” information about this car model many times. In the high-performance super SUV segment, the Lamborghini Urus SE is one of the first models to apply Plug-in Hybrid electrification technology.

According to published information, the Lamborghini Urus SE still uses the turbocharged 4.0L V8 engine used in previous Urus models, but has been internally refined to produce 611 horsepower and torque. 800Nm combined with an electric motor with a capacity of 189 horsepower and a torque of 483Nm. The total combined capacity of this dynamic system reaches 800 horsepower and 950Nm of torque, 143 horsepower and 100Nm more than the Urus Performante version priced at 16.5 billion in Vietnam.

Compared to Urus versions that only use internal combustion engines, the Urus SE has an additional battery capacity of 25.9 kWh but the pure electric range is only about 60km in EV mode. Placing a synchronous electric motor with permanent magnets in an 8-speed automatic transmission allows the Urus SE to operate in 4-wheel drive mode when running purely on electricity.

Although equipped with a lot of support technology and Plug-in Hybrid engine system, the Lamborghini Urus SE’s acceleration from 0-100km/h only reaches 3.4 seconds, 0.1 seconds better than the Urus S despite The Urus S version has much lower performance with 666 horsepower and 850Nm of torque. Perhaps many customers who are passionate about speed will want the Urus SE’s acceleration to be more impressive instead of just being “labeled” as using a hybrid electric propulsion system following the world auto industry trend.

In terms of overall design, the Lamborghini Urus SE has only a few minor changes compared to Urus versions using gasoline engines. According to the statement of Lamborghini’s design director: “These design changes are to match Lamborghini’s iconic design philosophy.” The interior of the Urus SE retains the overall design, only the center screen graphic is changed to resemble the Lamborghini Revuelto.

Lamborghini Urus SE competes with rival super SUVs such as Ferrari Purosangue, Aston Martin DBX707,… The starting price of Urus SE if returned to Vietnam is expected to be more than 20 billion VND.
