On April 25, at Tu Tho Resettlement Village, Te Xang Commune, the People’s Committee of Tu Mo Rong District (Kon Tum Province) organized the opening of the International Culinary Contest and set a Vietnamese record with 120 dishes. Prepared from ginseng.

The contest takes place over 2 days April 25-26. This is an opportunity to elevate and honor medicinal plants, preserve culture and create more livelihoods for the Xo Dang ethnic minority people.

With the theme “Medicinal Cuisine – the quintessence of Ngoc Linh mountains and forests,” the contest attracted 21 participating teams.

Among them, there are 11 teams of 11 communes and cooperatives in Tu Mo Rong district; 10 guest teams from Laos, China, Switzerland and a number of domestic Chef Associations and Clubs.

The competing teams are divided into 2 groups, each team has the participation of a maximum of 3 main chefs preparing dishes with ingredients from the medicinal plant ginseng at Tu Mo Rong.

Chairman of the People’s Committee of Tu Mo Rong district Vo Trung Manh said that this is the second time the district has organized a culinary contest with dishes made from medicinal herbs. The new point of this competition is that it has been upgraded to an international competition.

The district is a supplier of qualified ginseng with enough nutrients for chefs to prepare dishes. Through the contest, the district hopes that the image and useful medicinal properties of Tu Mo Rong district will come closer to the public, to the people and to the world.

Within the framework of the contest, Vietnam Record Organization Joint Stock Company Vietkings will announce the establishment of a Vietnamese record of 120 dishes made from ginseng for Tu Mo Rong district.

The record setting has affirmed the value, quality, and appeal of Tu Mo Rong ginseng compared to ginseng grown in other regions and localities.

Through the contest, the district will print a recipe book for preparing dishes from Tu Mo Rong ginseng, then widely distribute it so that everyone, every home in Vietnam and the world can prepare it themselves. used by relatives.
