Mistakes in implementing the Muong Thanh Ca Mau hotel project are ‘not for profit’

According to the Government Inspectorate, there are many violations in the issuance of investment certificates, planning certificates, and land allocation for the Muong Thanh Ca Mau hotel project.

In a written response to PV Youth, Department of Planning and Investment of Ca Mau said that implementing inspection conclusion No. 325/KL-TTCP dated February 10, 2023 of the Government Inspector General, Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People’s Committee issued Plan No. 88/KH-UBND dated February 10, 2023. April 11, 2023; which assigns the Department of Planning and Investment to preside and coordinate with relevant units to implement. Specifically, review the issuance of investment certificates, planning certificates, land allocation, and construction for the Muong Thanh Ca Mau hotel construction investment project. Implementing the above comments, the Department of Planning and Investment has synthesized the review opinions of the Department of Construction and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and submitted a written report to the Provincial People’s Committee for consideration and direction.

Also according to the written response of the Department of Planning and Investment, regarding investment procedures for Muong Thanh Ca Mau hotel, because Ca Mau is a remote province, it always constantly creates favorable conditions to attract investment, contributing to social economic development. In the context of limited infrastructure, the proposal of a capable and experienced investor to implement the Muong Thanh Ca Mau hotel project at that time was consistent with the policy of inviting and encouraging investment of the Government. conscious.

“During the process of granting investment certificates to the project, there were some errors, because it had to be done urgently for the investor to carry out the project. The cause of the errors was determined to be objective, not for profit, not causing loss to the State”, the text of the response stated.

Implementing the direction of the People’s Committee of Ca Mau province, the Department of Planning and Investment has organized a review and learned lessons from organizations and individuals related to project investment procedures and has written a report to the Provincial People’s Committee on review results.
