On the afternoon of April 25, the People’s Committee of Quang Yen town said that around 2:50 p.m. the same day, the authorities found the bodies of two victims who were missing in a boat accident on the Chanh River.

According to the authorities, two bodies were found about 700m from the area where the boat capsized. The victims’ identities were Ms. NTM (born 1983) and Ms. DTC (born 1966).
After being found, the two victims were taken to Quang Yen Town Medical Center for relatives to identify and take care of the funeral.
Before that, at about 5:30 a.m. on the same day, on the Chanh River channel (the section belonging to the People’s Committee of Ha An Ward and People’s Committee of Phong Hai Ward, Quang Yen Town, Quang Ninh Province), a bamboo boat carrying 6 people to exploit seafood was caught. encountered a storm and capsized.
The boat capsized and sank, leaving 4 people missing, 2 people were rescued promptly.
