The draft Law on Organization of the People’s Court (amended) includes 9 chapters, 151 articles, of which 51 new articles are added, 93 articles are amended, and 7 articles remain unchanged. Compared to the 2014 Law on Organization of the People’s Court, the Draft Law reduces 2 chapters and increases 54 articles. The draft Law closely follows the purpose, guiding viewpoint and concretizes 6 policy groups approved by the National Assembly in Resolution No. 89/2023/QH15 dated June 2, 2023. The amendment of this Law aims to improve the quality, operational efficiency and reputation of the People’s Court; protect the interests of the State, protect the legitimate rights and interests of organizations and individuals.
At the conference, the majority of delegates agreed with the Draft Law and contributed many opinions related to collecting documents and evidence in resolving cases; Renovate court hearings according to jurisdiction and level of trial./.
