On the morning of April 25, Deputy Director of the Center for Disease Control of Hai Duong province Hoang Van Huynh said that the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology had approved a plan to provide vaccines in May and June to 28 provinces and cities in the region. The North serves expanded vaccination work. Hai Duong province will be provided with 61,000 doses of various types of vaccines, including 7,000 doses of “5 in 1” vaccine (DPT-HBV-Hib).

Thus, the shortage of some types of vaccines, especially the “5-in-1” vaccine that lasted throughout 2023 and some parts of this year, has ended. Mr. Huynh said that 7,000 doses of the “5 in 1” vaccine are enough to vaccinate children aged until the end of June.

From the beginning of the year to April 25, Hai Duong has issued 109,070 doses of various vaccines to medical facilities implementing the expanded vaccination program. In the first 3 months of this year, the rate of children under 1 year old fully vaccinated in the province reached 16.4%, an increase of 5.9% over the same period in 2023; The third dose of “5 in 1” vaccine vaccination rate reached 20.6%, an increase of 5.9%; The vaccination rate of many other vaccines also increased significantly.

In the first 3 months of the year, the whole province only recorded 180 children with common reactions after vaccination such as redness and swelling at the injection site, rash, and no cases of severe reactions were recorded.
