(CT) – On the morning of April 25, in Can Tho City, comrade Ngo Van Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, State Auditor General (SAV) chaired a conference to review the regulations on coordination of work between the State Audit and the Government. on duty at the People’s Councils and People’s Committees of 6 provinces and cities: Can Tho, Kien Giang, Hau Giang, Soc Trang, Bac Lieu, Ca Mau. Leaders of the City Party Committee, Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, and People’s Committee of 6 provinces and cities attended the conference.

In recent years, the coordination between the State Audit and the standing People’s Councils and People’s Committees of the 6 provinces and cities mentioned above has contributed to improving the work efficiency of each party. During the period 2013-2023, the State Audit assigned the task to the State Audit of Region V to carry out 68 audits in 6 provinces and cities. Through audit activities, the State Audit has advised and helped the People’s Councils of provinces and cities to improve their direction, administration, management, and budget use. The active and effective coordination and creation of favorable conditions by the People’s Councils and People’s Committees of provinces and cities for the activities of the State Audit Region V have contributed to helping the State Audit successfully complete the annual audit plan assigned by the National Assembly. . The State Audit and the standing People’s Councils and People’s Committees of provinces and cities have actively and seriously implemented the coordination regulations. Through audit activities, the State Audit has advised localities to improve their budget management and administration; management and use of public finances, public assets…

Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Ngo Van Tuan affirmed that the outstanding results achieved by the State Audit over the past years have always been with the close attention and direction of the Party, State, and National Assembly leaders and the companionship and guidance of the State Audit. Effective coordination of People’s Councils and People’s Committees of localities, including 6 provinces and cities where the State Audit continues to sign the Working Cooperation Regulations this time. After the coordination regulations are signed, it is necessary to organize immediate implementation and ensure the effectiveness of the agencies’ work. In particular, the audit agency pays special attention to performing political tasks, inspecting and supervising according to industry regulations and instructions, and playing a good consulting role for localities. At the same time, through the audit process, promptly detect inadequacies in mechanisms and policies to propose timely corrections. Pay special attention to coordinating with localities in building reports, annual budget settlement and local budget estimates. Thereby, helping the Auditing sector advise the National Assembly on approving the annual budget settlement, deciding on budget estimates and central budget allocation plans…

On this occasion, the State Audit signed a Regulation on coordination with the Standing Committee of the People’s Council and People’s Committee of 6 provinces and cities. At the same time, awarded the Medal “For the cause of State Audit” to provincial and city leaders and leaders of departments and branches who have made many contributions to the cause of building and developing the State Audit.

At the reception, comrade Nguyen Van Hieu informed about the socio-economic development situation of Can Tho City. At the same time, he affirmed that the city is focusing on effectively implementing Can Tho City Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister; Efforts to promote the central role of the Mekong Delta region, attract investment in new industrial parks, promote the development of trade in services, tourism, high-tech agriculture, intensive processing, and further promote the role the region’s medical and educational centers, pay attention to vocational training, and create jobs for workers… Comrade Nguyen Van Hieu requested that the State Audit and the State Audit of Region V continue to support the city in checking and overcoming overcome limitations and shortcomings in the process of managing and implementing local socio-economic tasks.
