Specifically, in the Central Highlands region, the price of Dak Lak pepper is currently still at 96,500 VND/kg, the same price as yesterday’s price, the price of Chu Se pepper (Gia Lai) compared to yesterday remains unchanged at 96,500 VND. /kg, today’s Dak Nong pepper price is adjusted to decrease by 500 VND/kg to 96,000 VND/kg.

In the Southeast region, today’s pepper price in Ba Ria – Vung Tau area was adjusted to decrease by 500 VND/kg, down to 96,500 VND/kg, while in Binh Phuoc, the price remained unchanged compared to yesterday at 97,000 VND/kg.

Thus, today’s pepper prices fluctuated slightly in some areas, recording prices fluctuating around the threshold of 96,000 VND/kg – 97,000 VND/kg.

After a series of strong increases, domestic pepper prices tend to slow down, which experts say comes from a few reasons such as supply from Cambodia combined with the peak pepper harvest in our country, Besides, low import demand from China and bumper harvest in India.

Listed Vietnamese pepper prices also continued to move sideways for a long time.

Specifically, the price of Lampung black pepper (Indonesia) today was traded at 4,582 USD/ton, an increase of 0.28%; White pepper price (Indonesia) was traded at 6,052 USD/ton, down 0.28%.

The price of Brazilian black pepper ASTA 570 suddenly increased sharply today at 4,550 USD/ton.

Malaysian ASTA black pepper price remains at 4,900 USD/ton; Malaysian ASTA white pepper price is still at 7,300 USD/ton.

Prices of all types of Vietnamese pepper listed today remain stable. In particular, the price of Vietnamese black pepper type 500 g/l today is trading at 4,200 USD/ton; with 550 g/l type trading at 4,300 USD/ton; ASTA white pepper price is trading at 6,000 USD/ton.

Prices of all types of pepper on the Kochi (India) exchange today are level with yesterday. In particular, Garbled type traded at 58,200 Rupees/100kg, UnGarbled type at 56,200 Rupees/100kg.

From the beginning of March 2024 onwards, on the international floor, pepper prices in Indonesia, Brazil, and Vietnam have fluctuated quite strongly.

In particular, the price of Indonesian black pepper increased quite sharply from 3,891 USD/ton, to 4,391 USD/ton. The price of Indonesian white pepper inched up from 6,135 USD/ton to 6,179 USD/ton. IPC also increased the price of Brazilian pepper by 100 USD/ton and kept the export price of Malaysian pepper unchanged.

Prices of Vietnamese pepper of all kinds listed on international exchanges last month had only one sharp increase (March 21). In particular, the price of Vietnamese black pepper type 500 g/ was traded at 4,200 USD/ton, an increase of 2.38%; 550 g/l type traded at 4,300 USD/ton, up 2.33%; ASTA white pepper price traded at 6,000 USD/ton, up 1.67%.
