Honoring 200 Dien Bien Little Soldiers nationwide

On April 25, in the series of commemorations of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory and the journey of Dien Bien Phu – River Aspiration, the Central Youth Union and the Central Team Council honored the Dien Bien Little Soldiers nationwide for the 5th time this year. 2024.

The event was attended by leaders of ministries, branches, unions, Dien Bien province, 200 small Dien Bien soldiers and Mr. Vo Dien Bien – son of General Vo Nguyen Giap.

Ms. Nguyen Pham Duy Trang – Chairman of the Central Team Council – expressed that the Dien Bien Little Soldiers Festival is a big festival for team members and children who excel in studying, training and working in the Team, representing the more than 15.9 million team members, teenagers, and children nationwide.

During the 7 weeks of peak competition to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, children nationwide strived and enthusiastically participated in the movements “Marching by score”, “Stars of victory”, “Marching by steps of heroes”…

In particular, the “Small Plan” movement built many red scarf houses, bamboo shoots and helped children in remote areas…

The Chairman of the Central Team Council stated that the Dien Bien Little Soldiers are a typical example of the spirit of being diligent, studying well, overcoming difficulties to rise in life, and actively training and working in the Team.

This year’s Dien Bien Little Soldiers Festival has many meaningful activities such as offering incense to martyrs’ temples at the Dien Bien Phu battlefield, visiting the Dien Bien Phu Historical Victory Museum, and meeting historical witnesses. Young soldiers also have the opportunity to join the army on the journey “Dien Bien Phu – River aspirations”.
