As noted by the reporter, at many tourism and travel agencies, the situation of “burning out” tours to the provinces of Hoa Binh – Son La – Dien Bien has occurred. Even many tourism businesses do not dare to accept more customers because they are overloaded.

Talking to Lao Dong, Mr. Dang Thanh Tung – Director of New The Gioi Tourism Joint Stock Company – said: “Tours from air to road to Dien Bien from early April onwards are always full. due to the large number of tourists flocking to Dien Bien Phu. Even if you book a tour with a tour group, the ability to find service providers is extremely difficult. Up to now, there are still quite a few customers asking, but travel and tourism service businesses do not dare to accept more.”

According to Mr. Tung, for tourists from the South, they must travel to Dien Bien Phu by air. If you book early, you will still have tickets, but if you book late, there is a high chance that tickets will be sold out or you will have to book air tickets. at a very high price.

“The current situation is that part of the ability to provide services in Dien Bien is still limited, not enough to meet the needs of the current sudden increase in tourists. Faced with that situation, travel companies have always had to have early and remote plans to support tourists throughout the journey. In addition, we will also advise tourists to delay their departure date to ensure trip quality as well as stabilize service prices” – Mr. Tung said.

Many Northwest provinces expect to attract tourists during the holidays

Talking to Lao Dong, Mr. Tran Xuan Viet – Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Son La province – said that this year, the number of visitors to Dien Bien on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory increases, so Son La also expects to welcome many tourists traveling on the Son La – Dien Bien combined route along Highway 6.

Also according to Mr. Viet, this year’s April 30 – May 1 holiday, Son La strives to welcome about 250,000 tourists, of which about 100,000 tourists in Moc Chau alone.

Talking about the preparations for welcoming guests this time, leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Son La province informed that up to now, nearly 100% of high-quality hotels, motels and accommodations in Moc Chau have opened. placed in a closed room.

“Preparing plans for the number of visitors coming here will be very high, especially during the holiday season when Moc Chau plum gardens are in full bloom. Located on National Highway 6, Hoa Binh province also expects that during the holiday from April 30 to May 1, with a rich system of tourist attractions, Hoa Binh tourism industry is forecast to attract a large number of tourists.

It is estimated that it will welcome about 180,000 visitors, of which 20,000 are international visitors. Total revenue from tourists is about 135 billion VND.
