Cam Pha City People’s Council approved the policy of merging Cam Hai and Cong Hoa communes

On the afternoon of April 25, Cam Pha City People’s Council, term XXI, term 2021-2026 held the 23rd Session (Thematic Session) to discuss and agree on a resolution on the policy of arranging commune-level administrative units. period 2023-2025.

At the meeting, the City People’s Committee presented a Proposal proposing approval of the policy of arranging commune-level administrative units in Cam Pha City for the period 2023-2025. Accordingly, Cam Hai commune and Cong Hoa commune were merged into a new administrative unit, named Hai Hoa commune, including 12 villages with a natural area of ​​over 96km2 and a population of over 5,600 people.

Previously, 99.8% of voters in Cam Hai and Cong Hoa communes agreed with the policy of merging Cam Hai and Cong Hoa communes into a new administrative unit, named Hai Hoa commune. After arrangement, Cam Pha City has 15 commune-level administrative units including 13 wards and 2 communes.

Based on the review of the City People’s Committee’s Proposal; Verification report of the City People’s Council’s Legal Department; Based on current legal regulations and the actual situation of the locality, the City People’s Council delegates discussed and evaluated objectively and comprehensively and 100% of People’s Council delegates unanimously approved the presented Resolution. at the meeting.

To complete the merger of the two communes to ensure the correct process and time according to regulations, the City People’s Council Request the City People’s Committee to urgently implement the contents as directed by the Provincial People’s Committee.
