On the afternoon of April 25, Son was arrested at a hotel in Cao Lanh city and tested positive for the drug ketamine.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Bui Minh Truyen, Head of Thanh Binh District Police, around 10:00 a.m. this morning Son traveled 60 km from Hong Ngu City to Cao Lanh and “deliberately looked for women” on a deserted road, then committed the crime. Local police on Highway 30 are counting the number of victims.
“At present, it is determined that at least 10 women were attacked by him. Most of the victims suffered scratches, and one case suffered a fractured shoulder,” Mr. Truyen said.
Thanh Binh district police traced the security camera system and determined that Son ran back to Cao Lanh, so they notified the police here to coordinate the arrest. Lieutenant Colonel Thai Viet Vu, Chief of Cao Lanh City Police, immediately launched many forces to search for the suspect.
