On the morning of April 26, Dong Thap Provincial Police reported the incident of a man suspected of being “stone-crazed” attacking many women on the street. The police also called on anyone who is a victim to quickly report.
Accordingly, at around 10:12 a.m. on April 25, Cao Lanh City Police (Dong Thap) received information from Thanh Binh District Police about the discovery of a subject suspected of being “drugged” driving a motorbike on the road. National Highway 30 (from Thanh Binh district towards Cao Lanh city). On the way, the subject attacked and kicked over three women’s bicycles, causing them to fall on the road.
After receiving the information, Cao Lanh City Police directed professional teams and commune and ward police to organize arrests.
In Cao Lanh City, while traveling on Pham Huu Lau Street (Ward 4), the subject continued to force the car, using his foot to kick down a woman. After that, the subject quickly escaped.
At about 2:55 p.m. on the same day, Cao Lanh City Police discovered a man with similar identification characteristics to the above mentioned person who fell off the bike. This person is hiding in the Ly Thuong Kiet street area.
At around 3:05 p.m., the Cao Lanh City Police Rapid Response Team controlled the subject.
Through work, the authorities identified the subject as Nguyen Hai Son (39 years old, residing in Phu Huu commune, Chau Thanh district, Hau Giang province). Through a quick drug test, Son tested positive for Ketamine.
Currently, Son has been handed over to Thanh Binh District Police for handling according to the law.
