Recently, the People’s Committee of Thanh Hoa province issued Decision 1625/QD-UBND deciding to approve the investment policy and at the same time approve the investor of the OSB staBOO Thanh Hoa bamboo board factory project in Thiet Ong commune, Ba Thuoc district. .
Accordingly, the People’s Committee of Thanh Hoa province approved the investment policy of staBOO Thanh Hoa OSB bamboo board factory project for staBOO Thanh Hoa Joint Stock Company with head office address at Km82 National Highway 15A, Thiet Ong commune, Ba Thuoc district. . The land area for this project is about more than 26 hectares, with an investment capital of nearly 3,200 billion VND.
The project consists of 2 phases. Specifically, phase 1 of the project will build a bamboo chopping house, grinding house, dry grinding house, boiler area, boiler auxiliary, production workshop + input transformer station distribution room, export pit, warehouse. biomass, sawdust warehouse, large bamboo storage, small bamboo storage, surface finishing workshop, production auxiliary building, water pumping station, water tank, wastewater treatment area, weighing house, gymnasium , security house… Phase 2 of the project will build security booths and related technical and auxiliary infrastructure items.
This project is entitled to investment incentives and support according to current provisions of law if the investor complies with the registration dossier and meets all prescribed conditions. Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee assigned departments, branches and localities to actively support businesses to quickly complete investment procedures to soon implement projects.
Regarding the above project, in January 2024, on the occasion of attending the 2024 WEF Davos Conference in Switzerland, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received leaders of a number of large corporations and businesses to call for and promote invest in Vietnam.

This unit is cooperating to invest in building a factory to produce particleboard and OSB plywood panels from bamboo in Vietnam. According to him, Vietnam has great potential for developing the furniture industry, especially from bamboo and bamboo raw materials. Therefore, during the implementation of the Project, he requested staBOO Holdings AG to comply with environmental regulations; train human resources for local workers and support Vietnamese businesses to participate in the Company’s production and supply chain globally.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh witnessed staBOO Holdings AG and Sao Thai Duong Investment Joint Stock Company awarding a Memorandum of Understanding on investment cooperation to build a factory producing particleboard panels and OSB plywood from bamboo in Ho Chi Minh City. Thanh Hoa province with a total investment of 3,000 billion VND, with a capacity of 225,000 m3 of products/year. This project is expected to consume 1,000-2,000 tons of bamboo/day and create more than 3,000 jobs.
