Water sources on Bang River and Gam River have a slow change in water level, water levels on rivers and streams fluctuate at a level lower than the average for many years and lower than the same period. The water level of irrigation reservoirs in the province currently has 4 lakes, with capacity reaching over 80% of design capacity., 8 reservoirs have capacity from 50% to less than 80% of design capacity, 3 lakes reach 30 – 40% of design capacity, 8 lakes reach <30% of design capacity.

To proactively respond promptly and effectively to heat, drought, and water shortage in the dry season of 2024, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee requested heads of departments, branches, agencies, units and Chairman of People’s Committees of Districts and cities closely monitor forecast information from the Provincial Hydrometeorological Station and the capacity of reservoirs to regulate reservoirs in accordance with reality and develop plans to respond to drought and water shortage for spring crop, summer crop.
