Ha Giang delegation reaped many achievements at the National Sports Championship for People with Disabilities

BHG – The 2024 National Disability Sports Championship takes place in Ho Chi Minh City from April 23 – 27. This year’s tournament brings together 268 athletes from 17 units across the country competing in 178 events. Participating in the tournament, the Ha Giang delegation had 15 athletes competing in events such as javelin throwing, discus throwing, shot put, and high jump.

After 3 days of competition, leading the tournament was the Ho Chi Minh City delegation. According to the updated results, the Ha Giang delegation achieved very encouraging achievements, including 2 Gold Medals in javelin throwing belonging to athletes Nguyen Thi Mai and Tran Nam Long. Ha Giang athletes also won 10 Silver Medals and 10 Bronze Medals. The above achievements show the efforts of Ha Giang disabled athletes to overcome difficulties and their efforts to practice to compete with many athlete delegations in strong provinces and cities. At the same time, it also shows the province’s interest in sports for people with disabilities.
