Goalkeeper Ho Van Y: ‘Vietnam futsal team is determined to win against Kyrgyzstan’

The Vietnamese futsal team will meet Kyrgyzstan in the first play-off match of the 2024 Asian Futsal Championship at 4:00 p.m. today (April 26) in Thailand to hope to win tickets to the 2024 Futsal World Cup.

Assessing the opponent, goalkeeper Ho Van Y shared: “The Kyrgyzstan futsal team has developed strongly. They played differently from the qualifying round to the final round of this year’s tournament.”

Even though it is ranked lower than the Vietnamese futsal team. But Kyrgyzstan cannot be underestimated as they defeated defending champion Japan (ranked 16th in the world) 3-2 in the group stage.

However, goalkeeper Ho Van Y promised to fight with his teammates hard against Kyrgyzstan to win tickets to the 2024 Futsal World Cup, thereby bringing joy to fans.

He said: “In all circumstances, the whole team always tries to show their best ability, regardless of the expectations and cheers of the fans. Hope everyone will continue to accompany the Vietnam futsal team to overcome this. this difficult period”.

Ho Van Y played excellently in the recent matches of the Vietnam futsal team at the 2024 Asian Futsal Championship. He made many excellent saves.

However, coach Diego Giustozzi’s team still could not win an official ticket to the 2024 Futsal World Cup after losing 1-2 to Uzbekistan in the quarterfinals.

This unfortunate defeat made the Vietnamese futsal team unable to avoid sadness. Ho Van Y shared: “I ignored the sadness and regret of the quarter-final match with Uzbekistan and gave my highest concentration to the match against Kyrgyzstan.

I will try to show my best to win with the whole team. Whether it is the quarterfinals or play-offs, the Vietnamese futsal team still has the same goal of winning tickets to the 2024 Futsal World Cup.

During the team meeting, coach Diego Giustozzi said that the players performed well against Uzbekistan. However, we must accept the unexpected. Therefore, the whole team must be determined to regain their spirit to prepare for the first play-off match,” revealed the number one goalkeeper of the Vietnam futsal team.

If they win against Kyrgyzstan, the Vietnamese futsal team will enter the decisive play-off match on April 28 to win tickets to the 2024 Futsal World Cup.
