Exhibition “Logistics Strength in the Dien Bien Phu Victory”

Lieutenant General Do Van Thien, Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the General Department of Logistics, attended, chaired and delivered the opening speech. The exhibition contributes to reviewing history, arousing national pride, cheering and encouraging the younger generation to promote the heroic traditions of their ancestors in the struggle to protect the Fatherland.

The exhibition space is more than 400 m2, with nearly 300 images, documents, and precious artifacts typical of the nation’s resistance wars and current logistics work; On display, an overview of the leadership and direction of the Party Central Committee, President Ho Chi Minh, the General Military Commission, the Front Supply Council at all levels and the General Department of Supply has mobilized the people’s forces. labor, means, food, and foodstuffs from the Northwest ethnic people.

Thereby, affirming that this is one of the decisive factors creating the combined strength of our Army in the Dien Bien Phu campaign; contributing to the success of the historic victory of Dien Bien Phu “resplendent in five continents, shaking the earth”. The images and artifacts on display affirm the position, role, and importance of logistics work in the Dien Bien Phu campaign. The Dien Bien Phu Victory is an immortal epic passed down to future generations, especially today’s young generation, in the work of building and firmly defending the Socialist Fatherland of Vietnam.

The exhibition content includes 3 main parts: Part 1 “Strategic determination of the Party Central Committee, President Ho Chi Minh and the General Military Commission in the Dien Bien Phu campaign”. Part 2 “Ensuring Logistics for the Dien Bien Phu campaign”. Part 3 “Logistics strength during the Dien Bien Phu epidemic was continued and promoted its value in the cause of fighting for national liberation, building and protecting the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam”.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Lieutenant General Do Van Thien, Political Commissar of the General Department of Logistics, emphasized: This is an activity of practical significance, aiming to promote propaganda work for the entire army, people and visitors. better understand the achievements of logistics and the Army Logistics industry that contributed to creating great strength in the Dien Bien Phu Victory.

The exhibition recreates the contributions of the military and people of the Northwest provinces in general and Dien Bien in particular in ensuring logistics supply for the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.

At the same time, cheer and encourage each officer, soldier, employee, and worker in the Army Logistics sector and the entire army to be proud, follow the glorious tradition, join forces, and unanimously strive to overcome overcoming difficulties, emulating excellent completion of assigned tasks, ensuring timely logistics to meet the requirements of the tasks of building the Army, consolidating national defense, and firmly protecting the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam.

Hereby, you request the Political Department; The Logistics Museum coordinates closely with the Dien Bien Phu Historical Victory Museum to do a good job of explaining and guiding visitors to clearly understand the historical value of the images and artifacts on display. Through this, it helps visitors understand more about the important role of logistics in the Dien Bien Phu victory, as well as in the struggle for national reunification and the cause of construction. , protecting the Fatherland today.

Previously, the General Department of Logistics organized nearly 100 highly skilled and experienced nurses and doctors from Military Hospital 105; Military Institute of Radiation Medicine and Oncology… came to provide medical examination, health consultation, and free medicine to more than 1,600 ethnic people in Na Tau commune, Dien Bien Phu city; Keo Lom commune, Dien Bien Dong district, Dien Bien province.
