At the event, Samsung was honored in four major categories: “Typical enterprise in improving knowledge and promoting education” (Platinum rank), “Typical CSR enterprise of Vietnam” (Gold rank). ), “Enterprises leading CSR and ESG” (Gold Rank) and “Typical projects for the community” (Bronze Rank).

The award is recognition for Samsung’s efforts in investment and development in Vietnam.

Currently, Samsung is giving Vietnam the highest corporate social responsibility budget among the countries in which this group invests. With the vision “Together for Tomorrow! Enabling People” (Together for tomorrow – Empowering everyone), Samsung is focusing on implementing activities to nurture the future generation of young people.

Students apply STEM knowledge to create models to solve social and local community problems when participating in the Solve for Tomorrow competition.

Typically, the Solve for Tomorrow contest aims to encourage students to apply knowledge of STEM education methods to come up with practical solutions for social problems and local communities. Deployed in Vietnam since 2019, after 5 years, Solve for Tomorrow has attracted the participation of more than 300,000 registered students and teachers, and received nearly 5,200 entries.

In addition, the Samsung Innovation Campus program is organized to develop high-tech capabilities in the fields of programming, artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), large databases ( Big Data)… for the young generation of Vietnam has also been implemented by Samsung. After nearly 5 years of implementation, the program has provided courses such as C&P, AI, Big Data, IoT to nearly 6,500 lecturers and students from more than 40 educational institutions (including middle school, high school, and high school levels). Colleges and Universities). Up to now, the project has been present in 25 provinces and cities across the country.

In the coming time, Samsung will deploy the SIC program with the National Innovation Center (NIC) to improve training quality as well as expand the number of participants in the course, thereby realizing the target goal. Vietnam’s goal of training 50,000 semiconductor industry engineers by 2030.

The School of Hope Project – Samsung Hope School with the mission of spreading knowledge, sharing vision and creating the future for the young generation of Vietnam is also one of Samsung’s key CSR projects. The project contributes to improving living and learning conditions for local students in difficult circumstances; Through that, contributing to the development of local education, especially primary and secondary education. To date, the project has been extended in many provinces and cities: Bac Ninh (2013), Thai Nguyen (2018), Bac Giang (2021), Lang Son (2022) and brought learning and development opportunities to more than 5,000 people. children in difficult circumstances. The School of Hope in Binh Phuoc has just officially started construction, expected to be completed in 2024.
