24 cases of prisoners were awarded Sentence Reduction Decisions on April 30 and May 1

On April 25, according to information from the Quang Ninh Provincial Police website, on the occasion of the anniversary of the Liberation of the South, national reunification April 30, International Labor Day May 1 and 70 years of victory Dien Bien Phu, on the afternoon of April 24, the Quang Ninh Provincial Police Detention Center announced the decision to reduce term prison sentences for qualified prisoners.

Accordingly, on this occasion, there were 24 cases where prisoners were given decisions to reduce their sentences; Among them, 11 prisoners had their entire prison sentences reduced; 13 prisoners had their prison sentences reduced from 1 to 4 months.

The announcement of the decision to reduce the sentence before the holiday is a lenient policy of the Party and State towards those who have made mistakes; create conditions for prisoners to reunite with their family members during the country’s important holidays, helping them quickly reintegrate into the community and rebuild their lives.

Particularly for prisoners who have had their term of imprisonment reduced and return to their families on this occasion, the Provincial Police Detention Camp Supervision Board has contacted localities to coordinate guidance and help them reintegrate into the community, find a stable job, and eliminate the risk of recidivism; so that they can build a new life and become useful to their family and society.
