Lo Cuong rice cake craft village still generates pollution

--
Around 11 to 12 o’clock every day in Lo Cuong rice paper making village, there is still a situation of releasing black gas directly into the environment.

Lo Cuong rice paper craft village in Tu Minh ward (Hai Duong city) currently has about 100 households maintaining production. Of these, 16 households are quite large scale, with an output of about 3-5 tons/household/day. Large production households using boilers have installed treatment systems using water dust suppression towers to treat exhaust gases.

Wastewater from rice paper production is still discharged into the streets

However, the operation of the above mentioned exhaust gas treatment system has not been regularly maintained. Around 11 to 12 o’clock every day, there is still a situation of releasing emissions that have not been thoroughly treated into the environment. The rainwater and wastewater collection and drainage system has not been invested in and built, leading to pollution in many places in Lo Cuong residential area.
