The unfortunate 1-2 defeat to Futsal Uzbekistan caused Futsal Vietnam to miss the opportunity to win a direct ticket to the 2024 Futsal World Cup Finals.

However, because Uzbekistan is the host of the 2024 World Cup, Coach Diego Giustozzi’s team will have more hope of participating in this tournament through the play-off round.

Kyrgyzstan Futsal (ranked 47 in the world) is considered an equal opponent to Futsal Vietnam (ranked 41) as the gap between the two teams on the rankings is not too much.

At this year’s tournament, Kyrgyzstan was the team that created a stir in the opening round with a 3-2 victory over Japanese Futsal.

Therefore, this will definitely not be an easy match for Coach Diego Giustozzi and his team. However, if Vietnam Futsal wants to participate in the World Cup, it has no choice but to win both play-off matches.
