Speaking at the opening of the contest, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Mai Xuan Liem said: Recently, there have been many fires, explosions, accidents, and incidents across the country causing serious damage to people and property. . In Thanh Hoa area, in the first quarter of 2024, there were 40 fires, killing 3 people, with estimated property damage of more than 2.5 billion VND and 2.5 hectares of forest. The fire prevention and fighting forces mobilized over 53 vehicles and 321 officers and soldiers to organize firefighting, rescue and recovery; Organized timely and effective fire fighting of 36 fires and 10 rescues.

In fire prevention and rescue work, the motto “4 on the spot” is always given top priority to proactively prevent fires, explosions, accidents, and incidents from occurring. Thanh Hoa province has strongly and widely launched the movement of all people participating in fire prevention and fighting work. Based on the total points achieved after the two theoretical and practical competitions of the teams, the Organizing Committee ranked and awarded first, second, and third prizes to the best units.
