The delegation visited the families of Mr. Le Xuan Ke (94 years old), Hoang Dinh Hue (95 years old), Mai Van Ho (95 years old). All three men were soldiers participating in the Dien Bien Phu campaign, living with their families in Tan Thanh Ward, Dien Bien Phu City, Dien Bien Province.

Visiting the families of Dien Bien soldiers in the past, Mr. Ngo Van Cuong, on behalf of the working group, inquired about the health and life of the soldiers. At the same time, Mr. Cuong also informed Dien Bien soldiers about the activities of the Central Youth Union and the youth of the country towards the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory.

Mr. Ngo Van Cuong said that, when they were young, Dien Bien soldiers made many contributions and contributions to protecting the Fatherland. Once retired, they continue to live happily, healthy, exemplary lives to educate their children and grandchildren and forever be an example for the younger generation to follow.

Representatives of the families said that Dien Bien soldiers always uphold the spirit of revolutionary soldiers. At old age, Dien Bien soldiers still read newspapers, watch TV, train hard, and help their children and grandchildren with housework.

In 1960, he returned to build the 316th Division barracks. In 1963, he passed the architecture exam in Lai Chau province. In 1979, he returned to H. Tuan Giao and has since retired. Mr. Hue joined the army in 1950, then was sent by his unit to study artillery towing classes in China. In 1955, after pulling artillery during the resistance war against the French at Dien Bien Phu, he moved back to take over the capital's defense unit. In 1960, when the Northwest region was established, he moved back to work here. When Lai Chau province was established, he moved to this province to work. He retired in 1992. Mr. Hue was awarded the Anti-American Resistance War Medal, Grades I, II, III and the 65-year Party Service Badge by the State.
