(PLVN) – On the morning of April 26, at the martyrs cemetery of Gia Lai province, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Gia Lai province coordinated with the Political Department of the 3rd Army Corps to solemnly organize a memorial ceremony and bury the remains of martyrs at Lot. 10, row 11, grave number 01. This is the remains of an unidentified martyr who heroically sacrificed his life in the cause of national liberation and unification of the country.

Previously, on April 23, while digging a hole to plant coffee in the home garden in Hreng village, Hoa Phu commune, Chu Pah district, people discovered tanks, parachute cloth, 12.7mm bullet casings and some suspected bone fragments. are the remains of martyrs. Seeing this, the family informed the authorities of the above incident.

Funeral and memorial ceremony for martyrs

Immediately, the 3rd Corps Martyrs’ Grave Collection Team conducted verification and excavation to discover the martyrs’ remains buried at the above location.

The search process discovered: 5 tubular bone segments (5-8cm long); 6 bone fragments (3-5cm long); 3 skull fragments; 2 teeth; 2 vertebrae, many broken bones along with many relics of our soldiers such as: Sangha, nylon, parachute fabric, 1 aluminum spoon, 1 rubber sandal sole, communication wire, parachute cord, 1 medicine bottle, 1 tweezers beard plucking, 14.5mm bullet casing; 12.7mm, AK shell.
