Currently, many people mistakenly believe that the North-South Expressway on the Dien Chau – Bai Vot route has completely opened to traffic.
It is expected that on the morning of April 28, the Dien Chau – Bai Vot expressway passing through Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces is expected to open for traffic for about 30km, starting from the intersection of National Highway 7 in Dien Cat commune, Dien Chau district, Nghe An province. to the intersection of Highway 46B in Hung Tay commune, Hung Nguyen district, Nghe An province.
However, the section from National Highway 46B to Bai Vot in Hong Linh town, Ha Tinh province, due to weak ground, will open to traffic in the next phase, expected before September 2.
When traveling on the North – South Highway heading from Hanoi to Vinh City, after reaching the North – South Highway intersection with National Highway 7 (Dien Cat commune, Dien Chau), if people want to enter Vinh City, go about 20km to the intersection with National Highway 7C (Road N5) (Nghi Phuong commune, Nghi Loc), you can go about 20km further to the intersection with National Highway 46B (Hung Tay commune, Hung Nguyen) to follow the turn down to enter Vinh city.
If moving to the southern provinces, people need to follow National Highway 1A (Vinh bypass) to Ben Thuy II bridge to go to Ha Tinh.
On the contrary, people from Nghi Xuan, Hong Linh, Can Loc… districts (Ha Tinh province) who want to take the highway to the northern provinces should move along National Highway 1A through Vinh City, turn onto National Highway 46B to join the highway lane at Hung Tay point.
The Dien Chau – Bai Vot expressway project has a total investment of 11,157.82 billion VND, with a length of 49.3km passing through Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces, of which the length through Nghe An province is 44.4km and Ha Tinh province is 4.9km.
In the context that the Dien Chau – Bai Vot route has not yet been completed, misunderstanding information about the route can cause people to lose travel time. People need to pay attention and clearly understand information when traveling on this route to avoid unnecessary inconvenience.
