Request to check the incident of Vinh City residents blatantly blocking the road with rocks

On April 25, the Department of Information and Communications of Nghe An province said that it had just sent an official dispatch to the People’s Committee of Vinh city, requesting to verify and respond to information reported by Lao Dong Newspaper.

Previously, on April 24, 2024, Lao Dong Newspaper published the article “People blatantly blocked the road with rocks, Vinh City couldn’t handle it for many years”.

According to the article, some people living in Ha Huy Tap ward (Vinh city) reported the situation of people using large concrete blocks to block the road, obstructing traffic.

On the road connecting Truong Van Linh street to Lenin street, close to Lotte Mart Vinh supermarket, large concrete blocks appeared blocking the road, making it impossible for cars to pass, only motorbikes could get around.

Nghe An Department of Information and Communications requested the Chairman of Vinh City People’s Committee to direct the inspection, verification, clarification of the incident and respond in writing to the issue reported by Lao Dong Newspaper.

The written notice of processing results should be sent to the Department of Information and Communications before May 8, 2024 for the Department to synthesize, update and report to the Provincial People’s Committee.

Previously, on August 18, 2022, the People’s Committee of Vinh City issued a document requesting Truong Thinh Phat Joint Stock Company to dismantle the concrete blocks blocking both ends of the road in the North of Truong Thinh Phat Housing Project (on the North side of the Truong Thinh Phat Housing Area project). South of Lotte Mart Vinh Commercial Center project) to ensure traffic safety and fire prevention according to regulations.

However, since then, the above concrete blocks have remained motionless and there has been no further action from the Vinh City People’s Committee.
