Meanwhile, in Khanh Hoa, tourism products are slowly being invested in and innovated to improve quality; limitations in long-term orientation, lack of science and acumen in attracting and developing key tourism markets; Environmental sanitation and food safety are still inadequate… affecting the image of local tourism. In addition, tourism development policies have not focused on long-term policies such as developing community tourism, eco-tourism, cultural tourism…

Solutions for Khanh Hoa tourism to create breakthroughs

At the Forum, Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh, Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration, said that the general results achieved by Khanh Hoa tourism are still not commensurate with the potential and advantages of the island tourism center with many islands. outstanding advantage.

According to Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh, to develop green and sustainable Khanh Hoa tourism, Khanh Hoa needs to strengthen destination management and manage a green, clean, beautiful and civilized tourism environment. Encourage the application of “green” tourism production solutions, using renewable energy, environmentally friendly energy and improving energy efficiency in tourism activities. At the same time, control waste discharge, waste treatment, and emissions in tourism activities, minimizing impacts on the environment, especially the marine environment.

Pay special attention to developing green, friendly tourism products, protecting the marine environment, adapting to climate change, exploiting indigenous culture and local communities; Tourism products linked with other economic sectors are Khanh Hoa’s strengths (marine economy, aquaculture, salt production areas…) to diversify experience values ​​and build value chains. value tourism with other industries.
