“Dien Bien following its history through archival documents” is the theme of an online exhibition organized by the People’s Committee of Dien Bien province on April 26.

The exhibition is arranged in 3 parts. Part 1 has the topic “From the land of the ancient Vietnamese to the name Dien Bien,” introducing Dien Bien before the 19th century and Dien Bien under the Nguyen Dynasty.

Part 2, with the theme “Dien Bien – The rendezvous of patriotism,” introduces Dien Bien during the French colonial period and Dien Bien Phu – a golden epic with the army’s “illustrious, earth-shattering” victory. , our people. From here, Dien Bien became a shining place, a glorious and heroic epic of the Vietnamese people.

Part 3 “Dien Bien – Innovation journey,” including content from Dien Bien Farm to Dien Bien Phu city, Planning and development of Dien Bien province.

Many documents and images reflecting the efforts and achievements of the Party Committee, government, and people of all ethnic groups in Dien Bien province will be introduced to the public.

The exhibition “Dien Bien follows the flow of history through archival documents” introduces more than 300 documents and images from the National Archives Center, Historical Archives Center and Museum of Dien Bien Province, Institute of Han Studies -Nom, Archives of the French Ministry of Defense, a number of agencies and units of Dien Bien province.

The exhibition reflects the history of Dien Bien province from its earliest times to the present, in which many documents are published for the first time.

Archival documents, with the application of technology, have increased the sensory experience of viewers, bringing the public back to historical roots, with a clearer and more comprehensive view of the history of formation and development of the region. A land rich in cultural, patriotic and revolutionary traditions.

The exhibition contributes to introducing and promoting the image, people, and culture of Dien Bien to domestic and international friends.

Also on the morning of April 26, at the Dien Bien Phu Historical Victory Museum, the General Department of Logistics directed the Department of Politics to coordinate with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien province to organize the opening of the thematic exhibition area. “Logistical Strength in the Dien Bien Phu Victory.”

The exhibition space is more than 400m2 wide with nearly 300 images, documents, and precious artifacts typical of the nation’s resistance wars and current logistics work on display and introduced to the public.

The exhibition content includes 3 main parts: Part 1 “Strategic determination of the Party Central Committee, President Ho Chi Minh and the General Military Commission in the Dien Bien Phu campaign”; Part 2 “Ensuring Logistics for the Dien Bien Phu campaign”; Part 3 “Logistics strength during the Dien Bien Phu epidemic continues and promotes its value in the cause of fighting for national liberation, building and protecting the Socialist Fatherland of Vietnam.”
