On the evening of April 25, at Dien Bien Phu City Square (Dien Bien province), 200 children delegates attended the “Dien Bien Little Soldiers” Festival and 300 children of Dien Bien province set a Vietnamese record. with “Xoe dance performance with participation of children from 63 provinces and cities” performed to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory.

This is a program in the series of activities of the 5th national “Dien Bien Little Soldiers” Festival in 2024, organized by the Central Team Council to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (7 /May 2024).
Ms. Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Chairwoman of the Central Team Council, said: The festival welcomed 200 children delegates between the ages of 10 and 15 years old. They are all bright examples in studying, training and working in the Team, representing the “Thousand Good Deeds” movement, good children of Uncle Ho, good Provincial Team commanders. Among the delegates, there are many children in difficult circumstances but trying to overcome them.
“This is an opportunity for children to be honored, exchange and learn and participate in meaningful activities, contributing to educating historical traditions, fostering patriotism and national pride for the young generation,” Ms. Nguyen Pham Duy Trang added that.
Previously, the program’s organizing committee organized for children’s delegates to participate in flower and incense offering activities at the Martyrs’ Temple at Dien Bien Phu Battlefield; Visit Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum; Participate in the experiential activity program “Marching in the footsteps of heroes”; decorate the camp, display typical cultural and culinary products of localities and ethnic groups.

Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television Do Duc Hoang introduced key programs on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory, including the videoconference “Under the Flag of Victory”, special VTV “Dien Bien Government – View from France” and two live reporting programs on May 6 and 7 on VTV1 channel.
The exhibition “Dien Bien through history through archival documents” reflects the history of Dien Bien province from its earliest times to the present, in which many documents are published for the first time.
The feature film “Dien Bien Memories” attracts audiences with the intertwining of memories and present, the skillful combination of past memories and future wishes.
On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 – May 7, 2024), on April 25, comrade Ngo Hanh Phuc – Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee arrived.
