Attending the incense offering ceremony on the morning of April 26 were Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong and leaders of the People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City. Hanoi and representatives of a number of departments and branches.

Representatives of the delegation mentioned the revolutionary achievements of General Secretary Tran Phu. General Secretary Tran Phu was born on May 1, 1904, from a Confucian family in Tung Anh commune, Duc Tho district, Ha Tinh province.

After attending political training classes in Guangzhou (China) and Oriental University, he returned to work in Hanoi and was appointed to the Provisional Central Executive Committee.

The delegation attended the incense offering ceremony to celebrate the 120th birthday of General Secretary Tran Phu.

General Secretary Tran Phu was assigned the task of drafting the Political Theses and spent some time working in the basement of the house at 90 Tho Nhuom Street.

In October 1930, General Secretary Tran Phu chaired the First Party Central Committee Conference in Hong Kong (China). The draft political thesis was approved, and comrade Tran Phu was elected the first General Secretary of the Party.

In April 1932, General Secretary Tran Phu was arrested by the French colonialists. On September 6, 1931, the General Secretary died with the immortal words: “Keep your fighting spirit.”

With 27 years of age and 6 years of continuous, heroic and passionate revolutionary activities, General Secretary Tran Phu has devoted his entire life to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.

General Secretary Tran Phu left behind a shining example of revolutionary ethics, love of family, homeland, and country, and lifelong sacrifice for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland and the happiness of the people.

After the incense offering ceremony, the delegation visited the gallery and wrote a guestbook at 90 Tho Nhuom street.
