According to information from Thanh Hoa Customs Department, as of April 15, 2024, this unit has collected more than VND 6,208 billion to the state budget, reaching 45.81% of the target assigned by the Ministry of Finance, an increase of 28,000 VND. 01% compared to 2023. Revenue from crude oil reached 5,231.9 billion VND, accounting for 84% of the unit’s total state budget revenue.

Total budget revenue in the first 4 months of this year of this province is estimated at 18,214 billion VND, equal to 51% of the estimate and up 26% over the same period last year.

In the first 4 months of this year, Thanh Hoa’s import-export turnover reached 4.34 billion USD, up 35% over the same period. Of which, this province’s export turnover reached 1.38 billion USD, an increase of 29.8%, import turnover reached 2.96 billion USD, an increase of 38.8% over the same period in 2023.

The main import and export items at Thanh Hoa Customs Department are: Construction stone products of all kinds, clinker, wood chips; re-exported gasoline and oil; cement, iron and steel, construction materials of all kinds, frozen seafood, garment products.

Along with that, there are other import and export products such as car assembly components; machinery, equipment, means of transport, and spare parts of investment and expansion projects; raw materials for processing, raw materials for manufacturing modern medicines; equipment serving the construction of investment projects in Nghi Son Economic Zone; crude oil, gypsum for cement production, iron ore, sawn timber of all kinds, and slats.

From the beginning of the year until now, Thanh Hoa Customs Department has cleared customs procedures for 38,900 declarations, an increase of 23.6% over the same period. In particular, the green channel declaration rate reached over 84%.

In parallel with the work of facilitating business operations, in the months of 2024, Thanh Hoa Customs will also promote and effectively carry out post-customs clearance inspection.

By the end of April 2024, this unit had completed inspections of 4 businesses. Through inspection, the unit had collected nearly 242 million VND to the budget.

In the coming time, Thanh Hoa Customs Department will continue to reform and simplify administrative procedures in the customs field in a favorable, open and transparent direction to create maximum convenience for the business community while still Ensure strict supervision and management in accordance with the provisions of law. Thereby, this unit contributes to improving the business investment environment and enhancing the competitiveness index at department, board and industry levels.

At the same time, Thanh Hoa Customs Department has synchronously and drastically implemented solutions to facilitate trade, improve state management effectiveness, and prevent revenue loss in implementing the state budget collection task in 2024. This unit targets that by the end of the second quarter of 2024, budget revenue will reach over VND 9,500 billion, reaching 70.5% of the assigned target, an increase of over 7% over the same period.
