On April 26, the leader of the People’s Committee of Quang Tri province said that the Provincial People’s Committee had issued a decision to sanction an administrative violation against Mr. Pham Ngoc Loi (born 1982, residing in hamlet 1, Nghi Xuan commune, Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province). ) 155 million VND.

The reason for being sanctioned is because during its operation, the high-tech pig farming farm in Rao Truong village (Vinh Ha commune, Vinh Linh district, Quang Tri province) owned by Mr. Pham Ngoc Loi discharged water. discharged into the environment in excess of permissible standards.

Wastewater discharged into the environment has 3 indicators exceeding standards, including: Coliform exceeding 40.1 times; BOD5 exceeds 2.2 times; COD exceeds 3.7 times; Waste flow is 8.6m3/day and night (24 hours).

In addition to being fined, the People’s Committee of Quang Tri province forced Mr. Pham Ngoc Loi to pay the cost of soliciting expertise and analyzing environmental samples in the amount of 2.3 million VND.

Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported, in early April 2023, Mr. Loi’s pig farm discharged waste into the environment, causing fish deaths in Rao Truong stream (Vinh Ha commune).
